- Name the devices PC0 and PC1 as SamPC with Ipv4 address – 10.1.1.1 and DollyPC with Ipv4 address – 10.1.1.2 Ensure the subnetting mask is 255.0.0.0
- Add switch(2960) and Router(ISR4331) with Gigabyte Ethernet adapter
- Highlight the entire network with color yellow and Write Note to the network as LAN Connection1
- Configure IP Address to the LAN Connection1 as 10.1.1.3 ( configure in the router-Gigabyte interface )
- ON the port status in router
- Set the Default gateway to both end devices as 10.1.1.3
- Name the devices PC0 as NancyPC with Ipv4 address – 192.168.1.1 and PC1 as BeePC with Ipv4 address – 192.168.1.2. Ensure for Subnet mask as 255.255.255.0
- Add switch(2960) to the same Router(ISR4331) with Gigabyte Ethernet adapter
- Highlight the entire network with color green and Write Note to the network as LAN Connection2
- Configure IP Address to the LAN Connection2 as 192.168.1.3 (configure in the router- Gigabyte interface),
- ON the port status in router
- Configure Default gateway address to both end devices as 192.168.1.3
Observation: Send data packets from LAN1(Sam PC) to LAN2(NancyPC) . The status should be successful in both real time and simulation mode. From simulation mode take a picture(Image1) of successful status and attach to the word file. Sample Image1 is given below.
- Add server and Label it as PSBServer
- Config PSBServer IP as 192.168.100.1
- Add two switches
- Add three PCs to the second switch
- Connect all the devices as given : PSBServer - Switch0 – Switch1-PC0,PC1,PC3
- Go to PSBServer and ON the DHCP Services
- Write a script in Command Line Interface of swtich0 and switch1 to enable dynamic IP address configuration
Challenge: Observe all end devices configured with dynamic IP Address connected to switch1 . Ping from PSBserver to PC0 and the PING should be successful (Image2). Image2 sample is given below.
Objective 1 : Image1 with discussion on whether the router device is required for sending packets for two different networks . Proper Labelling and highlight colour are required for complete marks. - 5 Marks
Objective 2: Discuss in three lines on dynamic configuration of IP addresses and attach image2. - 5 Marks
