Hello, if you have any need, please feel free to consult us, this is my wechat: wx91due

Overview

Task description

You will work in a team of 3 members to reverse engineer the power electronics hardware of a Solar PV grid connect inverter. You will use first principles design and analysis supported by simulation tools for this exercise and submit two progress reports (Milestone 1 and Milestone 2) and a final technical report.  The first milestone focuses on the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) DC-DC boost input converter.  The second milestone focuses on the DC-AC single phase full bridge output converter.  Peer and self-assessment will be used to moderate grades in conjunction with other means.

Unit Learning outcomes measured:

1. Describe the principles and concepts of power electronics, including characterising and comparing power semiconductor switches, passive devices and converter topologies at a mastered level.
2. Describe, analyse and design power electronic circuits and systems comprising microcontrollers, semiconductor devices and power semiconductor switches considering factors such as efficiency, power factor, and reliability at a mastered level.
4. Develop skills in component acquisition, thermal design and technical documentation in view of improving the power quality of electronic systems, addressing issues like harmonic distortion at mastered level.

What you need to do

This assessment includes three parts:

· Part A: Milestone 1 Progress Report

· Part B: Milestone 2 Progress Report

· Part C: Final Report

Length

5 to 10 pages (Excluding front matter and appendices)

Structure

The Milestone 1 Progress Report should follow the following structure:

· Exec Summary (100-200 words)

o The executive summary should be written in a way that is accessible to a wider audience and should not include technical jargon or detailed explanations. It should be a concise summary that provides a clear overview of the report, outlining:

§ Objective: A brief statement of the purpose or goals of the report.

§ Methodology: A short description of the methods or processes used in the investigation or analysis.

§ Key Findings: The main results or discoveries from the report.

§ Conclusions: The primary conclusions or implications derived from the findings.

§ Recommendations: Any suggested actions or recommendations, if applicable.

· Table of Contents

· Introduction

· Body as discussed in the assessment brief

· Conclusion

o The conclusion is where you will summarise the primary conclusions or implications derived from the findings.

· References (minimum of three references)

o Include a properly formatted reference list with at least three reliable and authoritative sources, following IEEELinks to an external site. or APA referencing style.

Referencing Requirements

Ensure that your reference list follows either IEEELinks to an external site. or APA referencing style. QUT provides a range of resources to assist with academic writing and referencing, including Academic help and workshops: A comprehensive list of online resources and workshops provided by QUT to assist with academic study, writing, and referencing.

Submission requirements

· All reports must be saved as a .pdf file before submission to ensure the formatting is retained.

· All reports must be submitted before 23:59pm on the due date.

· One member of the team will submit the reports on behalf of the team.

· You will be marked based on the Assessment Criteria on each of the submission pages.
