This problem set is a computational example of simple regression. Items 1 -6 are to be completed by hand.
Use the data below to do the following:
1. Determine the regression equation relating X and Y? Use the formula

6. Enter the above data into SPSS and ‘run’ a simple regression. To do this: select “Analyze → Regression → Linear”. Choose Y as the dependent variable and X as the independent variable. Next, click on the statistics box and check Confidence Interval and Descriptive (in addition to the boxes already checked). Select “OK”. Verify your results from above and include the output in your submission. Remember to merge your files together and submit a single PDF document.
