The eHealth Strategy for NSW Health 2016–2026 aims to guide NSW Health to deliver world‑class, eHealth‑enabled healthcare services across the State for the next decade.

The eHealth vision is A digitally enabled and integrated health system delivering patient‑centred health experiences and quality health outcomes. This Strategy establishes the direction for eHealth investment so that NSW Health organisations can harness innovations and solutions in clinical care, patient engagement, business services and smart infrastructure to meet future demands. The Strategic Framework provides an approach to develop tailored eHealth plans to meet local needs while staying consistent with statewide eHealth goals, underpinning principles and priority ICT solution developments.

Practical Work:

Make a group of 4 to maximum 5 people (preferred member of the group are the team members for assessment 3 and assessment 4)

1. Design an ERD for the Medical Directory System in the next 3 practical sessions.

Goals and objectives of the program are:

a. Create full list of Entities, Attributes, Relationships and Cardinality in the ERD.

b. Patients are well informed and supported by eHealth in achieving their 

               health objectives.

c. Professional teams are assisted by eHealth to make effective decisions, access education and training, and deliver integrated models of care.

d. Organisations and health system performance is optimised and informed by eHealth.

e. The created ERD has the capability to deliver the potential Data Analytic dashboard for various stakeholders (NSW Health, Medical Centre, Possibly Patients)
