Poster Presentation (50%; report submission: 31 March before 5 PM; verbal assessment in class: 31 March & 14 April) will evaluate your ability to analyze, write-up, interpret, and defend your analysis of a given data set.  You are required to use the tools the concepts, techniques and tools taught in the course to prepare a poster and defend it to demonstrates your mastery of the course.  The dataset will be announced and shared with you in Week 4 (3 February).

You are required to use a large sheet of paper (e.g., A1 size; with color print is recommended) to print the poster and bring them to the class (or a specified venue) for display on Week 11 and 12.

The use of tables, figures (and even equations) is strongly encouraged.  Please keep the references to only where it is most needed and use them sparingly.

Efficient, clear, to-the-point writing style in the poster is encouraged.  Verbose writing style is discouraged.  Proofread your poster before the poster display as grammatical errors, typos, or mistakes in numbers are signs of lack of due diligence.

You can consult the teachers about the poster at the usual class time to prepare ahead of the poster presentation.  Poster presentations will be randomized, and your order of presentation will be announced in advance.  On the poster presentation day, each group will enter the classroom and set up their poster and have verbal assessments with the teachers as part of the grading process.

Late submission will be subjected to a failure grade.  No extended date or time will be given for poster presentation submission for the sake of fairness.

Poster Presentation Format (printed on an A1 poster size):
Page title (one line; use an attractive and eye-catching title)
Names: include the names of group members and student ID # and the contact person with email address.
Abstract (a short paragraph)
Part 1: Background
1.1.  The problem (one to two lines)
1.2.  Research question (one to two lines)
1.3.  Prior knowledge or literature related to the problem (one to two lines)
Part 2: Hypothesis Development (one to two short paragraphs)
State the theoretical or research model along with its hypotheses.
Part 3: Data Analysis*
3.1.  Operationalization (measurement scales used, format of measures)
3.2.  Sample and data collection methods (types of sampling, types of data collection method)
3.3.  Analytical approach (name of statistical methods used)
3.4.  Findings (report findings, plus their interpretation)
Part 4: Conclusion (one short paragraph)
Part 5: Limitation & Future Research (several lines)
*The key part of the assessment is Part 3 (Data Analysis).  However, you cannot do a good job in Part 3 if other parts are not well executed or if there is poor consistency among different parts.
