ECO 2147 Analysis of Economic and Social Data
Summer 2024
Here's what you need to know and do to prepare for the 2 hour final exam, which will be held on June 15th @ 7 PM (Ottawa time).
It is not necessary to read the links in the PowerPoint slides. Important links for the reading materiel are included on the Readings list which is found in the reading section in Brightspace. There may be some short videos that are part of the reading list. I suggest you read most of them and watch the videos. Most articles are mostly short and for the most part non-technical.
Read the following Chapters from the reading list: 2 – 3 (articles 43 to 48) – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7. I have added to small topics which were not covered in class: The Census and Unemployment. Each topic has two readings, and they are short and easy.

1. Read the lecture notes in PowerPoint format. The following ones are relevant:

2. Review assignments 2 to 4 with their answers.
3. Read the media announcements in the Announcements space in Brightspace starting at May 28th.
Exam Instructions/Rules (Preliminary)
1. You have 120 minutes to complete this exam once you have started it.
2. There are 60 to 65 multiple-choice (with True or false) questions. Each question is equally weighted.
3. The exam is open book.
4. The exam is done online through Brightspace. The link will be available before the start of the exam in the content section (you will not be able to access it however before the official start time)
5. During the exam you will be able to move back through the questions to retake a question or answer a question you skipped.
