Objective:

Improve the provided chart using the data set and chart provided for Week 02 of the Visualisation Critique assignment.

Tools:

Use Microsoft Excel to create your improved version of the chart.

Task Steps:

1. Analyse the Provided Chart:

Carefully examine the existing chart and identify one area that can be improved.

2. Create an Improved Chart:

Open the provided data set in Excel.

Design a new chart that addresses the identified issue and enhances the visualisation.

3. Link to Course Theory/Concept:

Choose a relevant theory or concept from the course that supports your improvement. Examples include Tufte’s principles, the Design Triangle, preattentive processing, Gestalt laws, or any other framework discussed in the lectures.

Add a text box below your chart in Excel. In the text box, briefly explain how your improvement is linked to the chosen theory or concept. Be specific and concise.

Example of Explanation in Text Box:
