Microeconomics 2001.01 Paper
You will be required to study a market this semester. You will start by finding an article that highlights a change occurring in a market – either a supply or demand shifter, or both. The article must be current – anything published after March 1 of this year.
Using this article, you will discuss current conditions of the market, and do a graphical supply/demand analysis for the market. This essay should include a discussion of the relevant microeconomic terms and concepts. Show me what you know! You must include a discussion of the supply or demand shifter mentioned in the article. In addition, describe the market in general. What are the expected outcomes for the market based on the change taking place (your shifter). Please reference my video on Carmen where I analyze articles on butter and coffee for a good idea of what I would like you to do.
You will need to include a graphical analysis of the supply/demand shifter. The final paper should be 2 pages minimum, typed, double-spaced, including your graph, but not including title page and bibliography. You may use outside sources to enhance your paper. Outside sources may be published before March 1 of this year. Graphs and tables must be referenced within the paper. I am happy to read rough drafts and provide feedback provided I receive the draft at least one week before the due date.
Please keep in mind that the paper is to be turned in on Canvas, and will be checked for originality via Turnitin.
