OBJECTIVE: This course addresses both short-run and long-run issues in macroeconomics. We will cover both short-term topics relating to the business cycle, and long-term matters pertaining to growth, employment and the public debt. Basic macroeconomic models will be applied to study the impact of policy alternatives and assess the appropriate course of action in different macro scenarios.
